Clear out your pen case, go through your stationery supplies, and join us for the first Stationery Swap & Destash at Paper & Pencil on March 21!

Date: Thursday, March 21 from 6:30-8:30pm
Location: Paper & Pencil, 1480 W. Berwyn Ave. Chicago, IL 60640
Cost: This is a FREE community event!

Stationery Swap Guidelines: bring NEW and/or LIGHTLY USED stationery items you want to get rid of and don't plan on taking home with you! These items will be free to swap, trade, and give to other attendees. Examples include: pens you tried but didn't love, notebooks with a few pages used/missing, washi tape you're no longer using, ink you dipped into but don't want, sticker sheets, pencils, erasers, markers, etc.

Stationery Destash Guidelines: bring any stationery items that you want to SELL to other attendees -- you set the price and manage payments between each other (i.e. cash, Venmo, Zelle, etc.).  Examples include: unused notebooks or planners, fountain pens, notebook covers, pen pouches and cases, pen/pencil/marker sets, etc.

Room is LIMITED for this event. We ask that you ONLY RSVP if you can attend!

Paper & Pencil Event Details

  • You must be 21 years of age or older to attend. Unless otherwise noted in the event listing, all events at Paper & Pencil are 21+.
  • Your RSVP entitles you to ONE seat at the event. As space is extremely limited, you may not be bring any additional guests with you. Each person must RSVP individually.
  • No pets, please. While dogs are welcome to visit us during our normal hours, during events we have a strict no pet policy. Certified service animals are always welcome!
  • Masks are welcomed but not required. Our team and instructors are all COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted. You are welcome to wear a mask if you choose. 
  • Please note: our shop is SMALL and space is LIMITED. We do our best to make our events as comfortable and accessible as possible; however, our space is cozy (especially when set up for events). If you have sensory concerns regarding tight spaces and/or proximity to others then events at Paper & Pencil may not be the best fit for you.
